The aim of the Photovision group is to learn theory and practice of taking photographs of various subjects, and learning how to develop a style using photo editing and presentation skills.

Photovision meets fortnightly on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday's of the month in the Glenisle hotel at 10.30am and enjoys a lively session looking at (and freely commenting on) each other's photographs taken on a specified topic, learning from each other's experience to improve their results. Using a projector and attached computer, suggestions can be examined immediately and the results, when agreed, saved.

The group has progressed substantially since it started and has now moved further, and learned to use a photo-modifying programme to alter and enhance the photos (as well as remove unwanted items). Future meetings are expected to include 'Portraits and Groups', 'Animals and Birds' and when the weather allows, sessions involving trips to photograph specific locations - all suggested by members.

New members are welcome to join and will be warmly received’
